WantFeed

I wanted to start by saying, I hope you all had a fabulous Easter and ate lots of chocolate!

After recently discovering the Michalaks on YouTube, I have been watching quite a few videos of theirs. On their videos they mentioned several times their website, www.wantfeed.com, which I found quite interesting so I wanted to share it with you guys.

It acts as a similar platform to Pinterest. You can search and add things on to your account that you see and like, and maybe want to buy! It's a great idea for Christmas or Birthdays because you can send your 'wants' to friends or family, where they can pick and choose from your list. The main reason that I wanted to share it with you all is because soon they are giving their viewers a chance to invest in the shares of the website, so that in the future, when they sell the website, their viewers can earn more money than what they put in. I'm sure you all know what shares are!

I'm sorry this is a short Blog post, but I am off from College for two weeks soon, so I my content should improve! If you want to take a look at my WantFeed, my username is: georgiawatkins

Talk to you guys next week! X

my top 5 revision tips

Exams are fast approaching and people are starting to plan out their revision. However, a lot of people don't understand how important it is to be organised with your revision as you are approaching your exams. I am here today to give you some advice and tips, that help me to stay organised with my studying.
1. Tip number one is to organise your school work into folders. This should be done before your revision even begins because it makes it a tonne easier to see what belongs where and to see what you have to revise for each subject/topic. Doing this before you start your revision means that you can have it all separate for when it comes on to the next tip.

2. This tip is probably one of the most important, and that is a study planner! I had never bothered with a study planner/revision timetable, until last year, where it helped loads. Last year I made one by myself using Excel, which is an option, but this year I used a website called Get Revising. It allows you to input all of your exams, deadlines, classes and other commitments, and then helps you to place blocks of revision for you to follow. By doing this, you can easily change it around if something comes up, without having to cross everything out on a printed sheet. You can also make it look all colourful, which I think makes it more fun! However, I think it is important to be realistic with the amount of revision you are going to do when designing your planner, because it means that you will be more likely to stick to it.

3. During my college days, I find that I have a lot of free time, where at the start of the year I watch Netflix or go out to eat, etc. But as it gets closer to exams I think it is very important to use your free time wisely, for example, you could use it to read over notes that you have made previously, or you could even use your time to complete any homework assignments which will leave you with more time to revise at home, after school or college. To help with keeping up to date with homework, you can use a regular planner, where you can write in the homework you are set and when it is due in, and then tick it off when you have completed it.

4. FLASH CARDS! I love using a website/app called Quizlet for this, because it gives you the chance to make your own flash cards and then test yourself on them later using different games (the website has more games that the app, but you can log in and your flash cards are saved on both). Another good thing about this app though it that you have the option to make your flashcards public, so you and your friends can work together to complete flashcards for different topic to speed up the process.

5. The final tip can sometimes depend on the subject. But I think past papers are really helpful because it gives you the opportunity to familiarise yourself with the different kinds of questions that they will ask you. You could then mark them yourself or ask your teacher to mark them. Some subjects are based around essay questions, so if this is the case it may be more useful to just plan the essays on past papers, rather than completing them.

I hope some of these tips help, they definitely work for me! If you have any other tips that might help some others out then please leave them in a comment. I might do some more revision/exam based Blog posts between now and exam season, so let me know if you would like to see those? And comment with any suggestions. Speak to you next week, Georgia X

Hi guys, so I have managed to Blog every Monday for 6 weeks now, so I didn't want this week to be the first week I miss! I know this post is very pointless but I wanted to update my readers. So, I wanted to let you know because this could affect the quality of my Blog posts over the next few weeks. However, as soon as I get a few free hours I wanted to start planning posts and writing them whenever I get the chance so that I will always have back-ups to publish for you guys! I hope you can all bare with me. Like always, leave any suggestions in the comments or on my social media links and I will add them to my list. Georgia X

make up revolution: lip swatches

So, over Christmas I purchased 6 of the Makeup Revolution liquid lip products. The product that I bought was part of their Christmas gift range and included 6 of the liquid lipsticks, in a variety of colours, from nude to dark purple! I have been trying the products and liking some more than others so I wanted to write a Blog post sharing them with you, including a lip swatch and a little comment about what I thought of them. I am going to be starting with the lightest shade and finishing with the darkest. Before I start, I just wanted to mention that these are the first make up swatches that I have done so they are not amazing, but I gave it my best shot. Let's get started!

The first lip product that you get is a nude colour. I was quite excited to try this one because I didn't previously own any really pigmented nudes, and I thought this one might be different. However, this isn't very pigmented and lasts a very short amount of time.

The second colour is a baby pink, this one is very similar to the one above and is also not very pigmented. It creates a kind of 'your lips but better look' and is perfect for a natural make up look.

Link to the product here.
This one is the most pigmented lipstick and lasts a very long time! This one is great for staying power and will not fade or leave your lips when eating and drinking, which is great for a full day at work or college. However, this one is a 'Barbie pink' colour so may be a little more difficult to wear if you prefer more muted colours.

This one is another one that is not overly pigmented, it is much more of a glossy lip product. However, I prefer the colour on the lips than the one in the bottle because it is slightly more wearable. This one would require a lip liner because it is much more likely to smudge because of it being very glossy.

This is the darker, more plum colours. I have really enjoyed wearing this shade during autumn and winter, but it is quite drying and is a little difficult to get off at the end of the day. But beside that, I think it has to be my favourite one out of all of them!

This is the final lip product. This is another addition to my red lip colours, but it is by far the most moisturising one. It's super glossy, which means that you have to make sure it doesn't smudge, but it is soo worth it!

I hope you have enjoyed these mini lip product reviews! When ordering these I also ordered a few other bits and bobs so if you would like to see another review of any other types of MR products, then let me know! I will speak to you all next Monday! Georgia X

2. In a large bowl beat the melted coconut oil and honey. Add the eggs and beat, then whisk in the mashed banana and water.

how I like to relax after a long day

Hello lovelies,

Spending over 36 hours at College a week, means that taking the time to relax and wind-down for the evening means a lot to me. I thought for today's post I would share some of the things that I enjoy doing on an evening after I get home from College. So these things are what I do after I have showered, eaten dinner, etc. Let's get started!

The first thing I like to do, and this is something that I do every night is get into bed and watch something on Netflix. Usually this is an episode of the TV programme that I am watching (currently Brooklyn Nine-Nine). It varies how long I spend watching Netflix, sometimes it could be a few hours hours, sometimes it could only be 20 minutes. I don't like to spend too long watching TV though because I prefer to do something that will help me feel more tired (not something that will make me want to stay up until 2am!)

Another thing I like to do is read a book or a magazine. I used to only read books, but during these past couple of months I have been reaching for my Glamour magazines more. I think it's because they are so easy to just put down and then pick up again the next day. I like the variety of content that Glamour offer so I would definitely recommend that one! I like reading to wind-down because it's relaxing and never fails to make me sleepy.

I recently purchased a new Nintendo DS because I started to play my old one that I used as a child and remembered how fun they are! I find myself playing this quite a lot at the moment, sometimes alone and sometimes whilst I'm watching TV too. My favourite games to play are Animal Crossing and Cooking Mama.

These are really the only things that I like to do on my evenings after College, before going to sleep. Let me know what you like to do to relax and wind-down after School, College or Work and I'll speak to you next week!

Welcome to my Blog!

Hello lovelies,

I have created several Blogs over the past year or so, but I've never stuck to any of them, whether that's because of the name or I've just been too embarrassed to stick it out. However, I found that my name was an available domain name, and I gathered that I would never get bored of that as my Blog name! I also feel like I'm at a stage in my life where I'm starting to care less and less about what people think of my life (which would include their opinions on my Blog, too). So, I thought this would be the perfect time to begin posting on my new Blog!

I wanted this to be a little introductory post, so that people who visit my Blog will have a little something to read! Instead of doing a whole post about me, I wanted to give you an idea of what my Blog will be about. I want it to focus more on lifestyle, whether that's recipes, fitness or travel/events. However, I also wanted it to feature a little of beauty and fashion as well, because I have some ideas that I want to start making a reality, by posting them on here!

I don't have tonnes of Blog post ideas at this moment in time, so if you have any suggestions, please comment them on this post or email them to me! (georgiawatkinsblog@gmail.com)
